Meltblown manufacturer Biax-Fiberfilm has a lot to shout about as it promotes two new services to the nonwovens industry.
Douglas Brown, President, explained that INDEX is being used as a forum to launch its state-of-the-art one meter width meltblown pilot line for demonstrations at its US headquarters. "The facility was opened in May 04, but this is the first opportunity we've had to tell the nonwovens market about it," he said.
The firm is demonstrating ExxonMobil's latest elastic polymer on its stand. "The benefits of this system are significant. I hope the visitors to our stand take a close look at what the meltblown process can do for their nonwovens business."
Biax-Fiberfilm's second announcement was the introduction of a unique cellulose meltblown product that is fully biodegradable. Company chairman, Fred Zarembka says it will potentially offer a variety of ecologically friendly products in the wipe, diaper and femcare industries. May 2005
